Heritage Silver Trail
Site 14: Pan Silver Headframe
Originally mounted in the Harrison-Hibbert shaft in North Cobalt and working until 1978, this headframe was moved to its current location as a monument to the Cobalt Mining Camp in 1998. Around the building is a display of mining artifacts with accompanying signs explaining how the items were used. It currently serves as the office for the Cobalt Historical Society.
Directly across the street is the Cobalt Mining Museum. This is where you can book a tour of the inside of an actual mine. It is really worth going to see for yourself the conditions these men had to endure.
